The wood that opens up the home

Wooden doors and windows are among the most exposed and most delicate elements to treat: they follow the movements of the building, absorb moisture and withstand direct sun for hours. They need products that combine elasticity, resistance and a well-crafted finish, able to protect without hindering opening and closing. The Covema range for window and door frames was created for this specific need: a well-treated frame not only lasts longer, but keeps its functionality unchanged over time.

What it includes

- Windows
- Exterior doors
- Louvred shutters
- Solid shutters

### Application stages

#### 1 Preparation

The wood must be brought to a sound substrate, free of greasy or resinous residues, which must be removed with specific solvents before proceeding.

- [TURAPORI Nitro Solvent](https://legno.covemavernici.com/en/prodotti/linea-solvente/turapori-nitro-62630)
- [FONDOTINTA UNIFORMANTE Water](https://legno.covemavernici.com/en/prodotti/linea-acqua/fondotinta-uniformante-64642)

#### 2 Wood stain

It penetrates deep even before forming a film, providing a fungicidal and anti-woodworm action that protects the wood from the inside before the outside.

No specific product for this stage in this area.

#### 3 Finish

Varnishes and yacht varnishes with a high solids content, designed to withstand the harshest weather conditions without yellowing over time, enhancing the natural grain of the wood.
